New IRS Tax Regulations for Poker Players
Posted: Monday, February 11th, 2008 - 12:00 PM

The Internal Revenue Service has recently imposed a new regulation whereby casinos and sponsors of poker tournaments are required to report winnings to both winners and the Internal Revenue Service.

This new requirement will go into effect on March 4th, 2008. For more information, please visit the IRS website by clicking here.

Also, as a friendly reminder, Seneca Poker must withhold 30% of all winnings for Non-Residents from a country which does not have a tax treaty with the United States. For more information on this subject, please visit the IRS website by clicking here.
