RECORD BREAKING BAD BEAT JACKPOT HITS AT SENECA GAMING & ENTERTAINMENT’S POKER ROOM; WINNER IS PAID $218,776.73
Seneca Gaming & Entertainment’s Poker Room at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel has been watching the bad beat progressive jackpot grow every day, reaching new heights as we waited for the big winner. Or loser, as is the case in bad beats.
Last night was the night. Nick Daloise of Niagara Falls, NY had four nines and got a bad beat when James Blankenship of Circleville, OH showed his four jacks on the $1-$2 no-limit Texas hold ‘em - $100 max game on table 14. Daloise won 50% of the bad beat jackpot totaling $218,776.73 and Blankenship was awarded 25% at $109,388.36. The remaining eight players at the table were awarded $13,673.55 each: Jason Rouch of Williamsville, NY; Jeffrey Madden of Williamsville, NY; Erick Lara of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; Paul Julyan of West Falls, NY; Francis Odee of Hamburg, NY; Joseph Brick of North Tonawanda, NY; Robert Leef of East Brunswick, NJ; and Janet Radich of Lackawanna, NY.
The Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot grows with each pot that reaches over $20 in the poker room. Once a pot reaches $20, one dollar per pot is put into the Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot. This fund builds up over time until a player gets a qualifying bad beat. A qualifying bad beat hand is when a player with four-of-a-kind gets beat by another player with a higher four-of-a-kind or better, including the two cards in their hand. The standard distribution for a bad beat progressive jackpot is 50% to the winner (the losing hand), 25% to the winning hand, and 25% to the remainder of the players who were dealt in at the table.
The other Seneca Poker Room is waiting for their Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot to hit. The jackpot in the Poker Room at Seneca Gaming & Entertainment in Salamanca is currently at $172,144. There is also a reserve jackpot at the Niagara Falls location totaling $161,864.
Seneca Gaming and Entertainment has two poker rooms in Western New York, Salamanca at Seneca Gaming & Entertainment’s Bingo Hall in Salamanca and Niagara Falls located within Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. Seneca Gaming and Entertainment is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians.
